Youth @ All Souls
At All Souls, we strive to offer youth a spiritual home––one they can have for all their lives.
Our hope is that youth at All Souls have a safe space set aside for them, a place where they can practice a life of faith, and a path to discover the Christian way. We envision a community where youth and adults (who are not their parents) grow together in their understanding of God, the world, the church, and themselves.
Program Highlights:
Youth Group, Immersion, Acolytes.
Weekly Youth Group (grades 6-12)
Youth Group meets from 7:00-8:30 pm each Sunday in the Parish Hall.
Our weekly Youth Group provides a space for regular fellowship, exploration, leadership, and fun. Together, we explore the “big questions” of life and faith:
What do I believe?
What are the core values of the Christian tradition— and how do they apply to my own life?
How can we learn to be better listeners and friends?
What is my purpose? What are my gifts?
Typically, Youth Group involves prayer, reflection, games, and food!
Youth from outside the All Souls community are welcome!
Annual Immersion Trip
Once a year (typically late June), All Souls Youth travel for a week of service, cultural exchange, and immersion in a place. Unlike traditional “mission trips,” immersion trips are focused on inner transformation and awareness of our role in community and the world. Favorite past locations have included Los Angeles and Mexico City.
Acolyte Program
At All Souls, youth are a central part of worship life. Youth are invited to train as acolytes (lectors, crucifers, torch-bearers) or behind-the-scenes at our light and sound boards. We work to find a way to meet every youth’s skills and interests.
