A Rich Tradition

Why We Learn

An essential image for Christian communities over the ages has been one of a school. This is something we see in the Gospels, that people approach Jesus as teacher, and that his disciples sit at his feet to learn. At All Souls, we seek to embody this spirit of learning by providing a rich array of faith formation opportunities for every age.

Where we grow, together

Classes for Adults

Led by both lay persons and clergy, our adult educational programs provide forums for personal as well as spiritual exploration, all while deepening our understanding of the Gospels and how to live out their message.

Recent class offerings include the spiritual teachings of saints, the study of eco-theology, the Gospel of Matthew, Whiteness as Idolatry, the Easter Vigil texts, the historical and theological underpinnings of the current Anglican-Episcopal controversy, and much more.

Where we listen for God

Children, Youth, and Families

Children, youth and families are central to our life at All Souls Parish. On Sunday mornings, you’ll find coloring sheets and crayons in each of the pews, soft spaces for kids to move around and play during the service, and a space set aside for them in our side chapel. These are just some of the many ways we seek to celebrate and include children in our communal life.

Our Children’s program includes a variety of methods of engaging children– including Godly Play, music, drama, and art, offering dynamic ways for kids to participate in the liturgy, learn about and live the Christian faith.

Where we share life together

Small Groups

Through the year we gather in different sorts of small groups. We believe small groups gatherings are a primary place to experience community and grow in our knowledge of each other, ourselves, and God.
